While artists of all interests and levels of development are accepted, many alumni have gone on to study art in high school and college including some of the top ranked art schools in the country.

Age groups 5-7, 8-10 and 11-16 will create their art in the art studio for 5 days then enjoy an “Artists’ Gallery Reception and Exhibit” featuring their own art!

Our instructors will empower the artists to be fully expressed using various media. Specific techniques and art principles will be taught with an emphasis on challenging the artists individually.

The Artist Gallery Reception and Exhibit is free and open to the public…With each artist’s work prominently displayed in the gallery. Invite your friends and family to enjoy the reception and celebrate your artist’s work!

This year, only one week is offered, so it is first come, first served on the remaining openings.

July 9-13
Session A: ages 5-7 8:30-10:30
Session B: ages 8-10 11:15-1:15
Session C: ages 11-16 2:00-4:00

Westerville student accepted at the #1 art school is the country & to have local gallery showing with other students.

May 1, 2011 – Westerville, Ohio | Westerville South High School Student Jennifer Murray is going to the most prestigious art school is the country -The Rhode Island School of Design. In addition to being accepted to the US News & World Reports #1 rated art school, Jennifer was also accepted to 3 more of the top 15 art schools and received approximately $250,000 in merit scholarship offers. Graduating this spring from Westerville South High School, Jennifer has been privately instructed in painting/drawing by David Myers at his studio in uptown Westerville on a weekly basis since Jennifer was 10 years old in 2003.

Jennifer will be exhibiting her work, along with Mira Rathman – Worthington Kilbourne, (Ohio State) Stephanie Zimmerman – Westerville Central, (University of Dayton), and Amelia Bindofer – Westerville South (College of Wooster) at The David Myers Art Studio & Gallery on May 27th, 6:00-9:00pm. All four are private art instruction students of David’s for a combined 21+ years; Jennifer Murray – 7 ½ years, Mira Rathman – 6 years, Stephanie Zimmerman – 5 years, Amelia Bindofer – 3 years.

Selected pieces will be available for sale at this event.
